Why did you join The Model Advocate Team?

The main reason for joining the team was due to Shona’s passion for bettering herself. I am asked to get involved in a number of on and offline projects and media opportunities and invariably I find they are at best ‘trend’ based and more often than not – incorrect or misleading. Shona is a pathological overachiever, so she has acquired a Team of very well educated and experienced people to facilitate her quest for the right information to expedite her self-improvement and that of everyone she meets on or offline! Like me, she genuinely wants to help other people achieve their goals which is what TMA is all about.

Top fitness tip

Lift weights – almost everyone benefits from lifting weights. Lifting weights doesn’t always mean heavy metal things in the gym. Your body is a weight – some of the best athletes, sexiest models and strongest soldiers I have ever met and had the fortune to train – use nothing more than their body weight to build unparalleled performance in every aspect of their lives.

The best thing about running a health business

Being one of the longest standing fitness, nutrition and wellbeing services in London, I get to work with all sorts of professionals, but nothing beats educating the newly qualified, hungry youngsters who still have the bright eyed enthusiasm that comes with taking their first steps into the best industry in the world.

I am most passionate about

The concept of FLOW and trying to achieve it for myself and those who I work with – In positive psychology, flow, also known as “the zone”, is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterised by complete absorption in what one does. I believe that if we can do this many of our fears and barriers to growth, as well as our ability to engage in social betterment, would be easier and we would be less anxious.

Guilty pleasure

I don’t really have one – I honestly try not to feel guilty about anything, it is a negative emotional state, but I do sometimes require a monster lie in – like getting up at lunchtime sort of lie in. On weekdays I am up at 5.30am latest.

Motto

Communicate.

I can’t live without

Carbohydrates.
